HSEQ - Health / Safety / Environment / Quality

Working safely is a combined effort.

We are all responsible for a safe and healthy working environment, for our own employees, but also for those of subcontractors and suppliers. Safe working conditions should always be a given. What’s more, safety is largely determined by behaviour, which is why we’ve chosen to use safety campaigns and regularly scheduled toolbox meetings to ensure that Visser & Smit Hanab’s teams have the right attitude when it comes to safety. As an organisation, we also spare no efforts to convert the lessons of today into the policies of tomorrow.

At Visser & Smit Hanab SA/NV we work safely or we don’t work at all!

Safety is an integral part of our day-to-day activities, not just during project implementation, but integrated right from the start in the design phase. How do we minimise the risks? What tools and methods are available to us? The Visser & Smit Hanab SA/NV management system for high-quality, working conditions and environment has detailed plans to meet the challenges these questions represent.

Visser & Smit Hanab SA/NV is also ISO 9001 and VCA-Petrochemicals certified. In terms of HSEQ, these certificates determine our day-to-day actions.

Safety and health plan

Our Safety and Health Plan (S&H plan) is designed to ensure the safety of every person working on our projects, for every single project. That includes not just our personal employees and subcontractor and supplier employees, but also includes visitors and passers-by. The S&H plan outlines potential risks and corresponding safety measures. All of our project personnel must abide by these safety requirements. In addition, we encourage people to address those who are in unsafe situations so that everyone can return home safely at the end of the day.
